Pandemic and nurses

Abstract

International experts agree on a pressing shortage of nurses. The lack of nurses and the role they play in health institutions has been, is and, unfortunately, will be debated by nurses and disregarded by other health professionals and managers. The future of the profession cannot fall to teachers without clinical experience or who are far from professional practice. The model has to change. The university is not a reference and this cannot and should not continue.
