Abstract
Fibrous cortical defect is a benign bone injury with unknown etiology and typically without symptoms that occurs most often in children under ten-yearold. Diagnosis is made on the basis of imaging studies and follow-up and treatment of the pathology is observational, resolving definitively spontaneously at the onset of puberty.
The aim of this paper has been to describe the process for the definitive diagnosis of a fibrous cortical defect case in a four-year-old child and the treatment required to resolve it, as well as an update about this pathology.
