Abstract

The procedure guidelines for a neonatal patient diagnosed with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) are described. CDH is an abnormality in which an abnormal opening occurs in the diaphragm that allows part of the abdominal organs to move into the chest cavity. It presents the clinical case of an intrauterine neonate diagnosed of CDH during the 37th weeks’ gestation. On the fourth day after birth, the neonate received programmed surgery.
