Abstract

Introduction: Since 2012, a nurse works with the pharmacist together at the outpatient consult of hospitalary drugs in the Hospital Pharmacy.

Objectives: The goal of this article is describe the nurses´ activity (qualitative and quantitatively)

Methodology: Excel Register from January 2012 to December 2019 about:

  • Drug administration/Illness/First administrations/Following administrations/Treatments changes.
  • Dispense Register and stocks control according Digital Pharmacy program.
  • Nurses dispense, give education and parenteral administer of hospitalary drugs. With the pharmacist check de stocks and the problems about drugs (side effects, mistakes...)

Results: Nurses dispense, give education and parenteral administer of hospitalary drugs. With the pharmacist check de stocks and the problems about drugs (side effects, mistakes...). The diseases more frequents are: psoriasis, prostate cancer, arthritis, hypercholesterolemia, Crohn disease, anquylosing espondilytis, neutropenia and renal insufficiency. The daily rate is about 68 patients. In 2019, 590 registers was done. During the last 8 years, a total of 690 first parenteral administrations were done; and 1359 following administrations. Being the drugs involved: ustekinumab, adalimumab, denosumab, alirocumab, evolocumab and octreotide. There has been an increase of 23% between 2018-2019 in following and treatment changes. The treatment adherence is ensured.

Conclusion: Nursering´s work with the Hospital Pharmacist, improve the efficiency, security and the treatment adherence because the possibility of the drug administration in the own pharmacy consult.
