Abstract

One complication that can occur frequently in critical care is acute renal failure (ARF). Its treatment is one of the most evolved aspects in the management of the critical patient in recent years. The continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) have been developed as a result of the technological advances causing greater depurative profitability and greater security, allowing to extend the indications of the same one. This article reviews the nursing care at the beginning of the treatment, in the preparation and connection of the patient, during the therapy and at the end of the therapy and disconnection of the patient. The care of complications and the different pressures of the system are reviewed.
